We were in the car Tuesday on our way to drop Fletcher off at preschool. We were listening to this CD called Seeds Family Worship: Faith. They are scripture songs, but not hokey/cheesy music. They are a bit repetitive but the lyrics are directly from scripture so when kids learn the song, they are actually learning scripture. There are four or five CDs in the series.
Fletcher: Mom, where did you get this CD?
Mom: Remember? It was in your stocking.
Fletcher (in an utterly amazed, incredulous voice): Really?
Long pause (I've learned to just wait these out and see what he says next)
Fletcher: I didn't know Santa made CDs. I thought he just did toys.
Somehow, I think he has this picture of Santa at the North Pole in a recording studio making scripture praise CDs. Someday a therapist somewhere will probably question my parenting skills.
