Someone from Kevin's work sent us this link. It is a live video of a barn owl (Molly) in California in her nest sitting on her eggs waiting for them to hatch. As of Sunday evening the first one had hatched (Max). McGee (the male owl) usually shows up at night and brings her take out. Well, sort of.
Fletcher has really enjoyed checking in on Molly to see what she is up to. He's asked alot of questions and we've been able to learn more about owls. I had the joy of explaining to him what her nest is made of. Owl pellets if you are curious. I was a little too slow on the mouse (computer mouse, that is) and didn't click away in time before Fletcher got to witness Molly eating a rat. Ew gross. Of course, to a 6 year old boy, he thought it was the coolest thing ever!
